Alka kumari aged 24 years pursuing graduation and also managing a group of women who runs and manages polyhouse. She got training at Ranchi and Pantnagar under the scheme and aggregated the ladies to form the group – ‘Shivam Mahila Krishak Sawayn Sahayta Group’ and motivated them to go for protected farming. She has been able to demonstrate the technology successfully to male controlled farming community and garden nursery proved that a woman can usher a change and can bring in new technology and thinking. She lives in village Yusufpur, Block – Khushrupur, Dist. – Patna.

“You can ask my name from any villager and he will drop you to our doorstep”, says Alka with proud and smile. “Today I am famous in my village and people gives me love and regard thelockboss.ie. I am thank full to SamriddhiiTM and WDC which provided me opportunity to learn and practice protected cultivation. Also I train other villagers on this modern technique.
